Get to know Rev. Dr. Madre Elizbeth Ornelas, OSB
Rev. Dr. Elizabeth S. Ornelas, OSB was raised in El Paso, Texas in a Chicano Mexican Traditional Culture, Rev. Elizabeth has been married to Rev. Fr. Eduardo Ornelas for over 27 years and is blessed as a mom to three beautiful young adults and a grandma of two beautiful grandchildren.
Rev. Madre Elizabeth was ordained to the Priesthood on the Lord’s day in June 2018 by Archbishop Dr. Robert Ortega, Pastor of Holy Spirit of Hope Catholic Church https://www.holyspiritofhope.org/ and the Primate of https://coccna.org/ Rev. Madre Elizabeth has earned an Associate Degree in Media Production in 1992 and worked in the news media covering local El Paso, Texas, Las Cruces, NM and cross-border Juarez news. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Management in 2007 while she worked for the Apostolic Roman Church, Diocese of El Paso, she held positions as a Religion Teacher, Director of Religion Formation and Assistant to the Pastor. Rev. Madre Elizabeth earned a Master Degree in Divinity from Agape Theological Seminary School in 2019. Doctorate in Ministry in 2022 from Agape Theological Seminary School.
Rev. Madre Elizabeth has held leadership positions as Chairperson for the Parish Council and Finance Council. She has worked for the Independent School Districts in El Paso, Socorro, and San Elizario as a Teacher on Record as an ELAR English Teacher and Graphic Arts Instructor.
